Nadine Shah

What a task! Sifting through all the new music that’s come into The Other Woman’s inbox in 2013 and somehow getting it down to two hour long shows. Insane! It’s been another fantastic year and there are some real gems including New York resident psych-rock-folkee Wilsen, London DIY punk funk merchant Ebony Bones, Bella Union‘s Landshapes and the jaw dropping piano playing Geordie Nadine Shah.

To hear the rest you’ll have to tune in but there’s also some Americana, folk, DIY London punk and a gorgeous instrumental, amongst much more. Happy Christmas to you and don’t eat too many mince pies! Stuff that actually, eat as many as you like – it’s Chrrrriiiistmas!

Just a caviat here to say that these shows are limited to songs available from amazingtunes.com

Mariam the Believer

For our final show we crammed in as many of the songs that made us stop in our tracks in 2013 as we can – including angel-voiced electronic maestro Lyla Foy, Swedish solo whirlwind Mariam the Believer and Nashville grunge guitarist Torres.

Then there was cellist Julia Kent signed to the Leaf Label and who performed an extraordinary show for us in London in November, also newbies The Drink who received their first ever radio play from Amazing Radio here on The Other Woman. Headed up by Irish singer, guitarist and songwriter Dearbhla Minogue the London band are ones to watch in 2014 for sure.

Join us for another year of the best of new music from female artists and female fronted bands in 2014!
